About Greystar Events
We connect suppliers and vendors with the industry's most impactful conferences and workshops — across the country, all year long.
Greystar Events Guidelines
Starting January 2027, Greystar team members will not request, solicit, or accept sponsorship funds, event contributions, gifts, meals, or other financial support from suppliers for regional events. All requests go through the Greystar Events website or directly to Greystar Events. Conflicts screens have been performed to ensure there are no conflicting suppliers in the sponsorship program. Conflicts are based on the National Supplier List.
Supplier Hosted Events
A Region may accept a supplier's voluntary offer to host an event when all the conditions below are met:
No Solicitation
The supplier independently offered to host — at no point was it encouraged, requested, or prompted by Greystar.
Relevant Attendance Only
Attendance is limited to individuals whose roles directly relate to the event's content and business purpose.
Existing Supplier Relationship
Must be an existing National supplier, or a local supplier that doesn't conflict with a National relationship.
Withstands Scrutiny
The event must hold up to audit, regulatory, customer, and public review as legitimate business activity, without reputational risk.
No Active Procurement Overlap
Cannot occur during an active RFP, sourcing event, contract negotiation, selection, or renewal involving that supplier or respective category.
Food For Thought
- Food For Thought sessions may be conducted either in person or virtually and are intended to provide educational, informational, or product-related content to Greystar teams.
- The supplier is responsible for organizing and funding all meal and refreshment arrangements associated with the event, including food delivery for virtual attendees.
- All Food For Thought events must adhere to the requirements outlined in the Supplier-Hosted Events section.
- One supplier per Food For Thought session. Co-hosted or jointly funded sessions are not permitted.
Tradeshows
Tradeshows follow specific supplier-to-attendee ratios and scheduling requirements.
- For Tradeshows, there will be a maximum ratio of 1 supplier company to every 5 Greystar team members. For larger events where there are blocks, the ratio will be based on the size of the average block (for example - if there are 250 people, broke into 5 groups, the average size is 50 Greystar team members, so only 10 suppliers are required).
- For Reverse Tradeshows, the inverse is relevant — 1 Greystar team member to every 5 supplier company.
- Suppliers can only be charged for tradeshows, up to $7,500 per year per region.
- Tradeshows require a dedicated 1.5 hour minimum window, not to be combined with any other event.
Resident Events
Suppliers interested in sponsoring resident-facing events must follow a separate process.
- Suppliers who want to host Resident Events should contact the property directly.
- Contributions are capped at $250 per event regardless of property size.
- Be reasonable with requests and never influence supplier selection.
Charity Events
Teams may seek sponsorship funding for Greystar-approved charitable events that align with Greystar's values and community impact.
- The charitable organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
- Events must be pre-approved by Greystar Events before soliciting supplier sponsorships.
- Charity event sponsorships count toward the supplier's regional contribution cap.
- Suppliers may not receive branding, booth space, or promotional benefits in exchange for charity event contributions.
- All funds must be paid directly to the charitable organization — not to Greystar or individual team members.
Corporate Events
Corporate events are a meaningful way to connect with our leadership teams, support impactful causes, and build lasting relationships across the industry.
- From time to time, high-impact engagement opportunities may be offered to sponsors.
- In 2027, all events will return to operating as their own distinct sponsorship opportunities.
- Women Asset Managers (WAM) National Summit — A premier organization focused on uniting top female leaders in the multifamily industry.
- Construction Services and Maintenance Conference
- Marketing Masters
- Green Awards
